Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous man is powerful and effective."  James 5:15-16

YOUR SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY

Matthew 28:18 NIV “All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. God himself is the power behind our authority.” (The devil and his forces are obliged to recognize our authority.) 

Proverbs 18:21 NIV “The tongue has the power of life and death.” 

God has given us the power and authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. The tongue is the weapon to be used to demonstrate this power and authority. The enemy cannot hear our thoughts. Praying a prayer in silence renders it ineffective. We must verbally address the enemy. The prayer of agreement is another weapon to be used with the tongue. When praying, use God’s scriptures and personalize them. Declare and decree that what you are praying for has already been accomplished.

Kenneth Hagin states in his book, The Believer’s Authority, “All the authority that can be exercised upon the earth has to be exercised through the Church, because Christ is not here in person – in his physical body.” Use your authority! (Church: body of Christ)
